Costco travel website now requires a “login”, but not in the traditional sense. Attached is a screen shot. I can obviously create a new Bitwarden login to store the 2 pieces of information, but the browser extension doesn’t recognize these two fields and populate them. I need to right click on the Membership box, then navigate to Bitwarden->Copy Password->Costco Travel
Are there some custom fields I need to add/change in the Login entry?
Where are you seeing this login form? When I click “login” at costcotravel.com
, I see the following form:
Unfortunately, I can’t test the following solution with having access to the form, but the basic approach will be to autofill the information using custom fields, using the following steps:
- While you have the Costco Travel login page open in your browser, open the Bitwarden browser extension, and click +New > Login.
- Click the pop-out button (diagonal arrow in the top right corner of the browser extension) to pop out a floating window.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the floating window, and click +Add Field.
- On the Costco Travel login page, right-click inside the “Membership Number” field, and select Bitwarden > Copy custom field name from the pop-up menu.
- Place the cursor in the “Field label (required)” field in the floating browser extension window, and then paste the contents of your clipboard — e.g., using Ctrl+V.
- Click the Add button.
- You should now see a new custom field in the “New Login” screen — enter the required information (e.g., your membership number) into that field.
- Repeat Steps 3–7 for the “Last Name” field on the login form.
- Click Save at the bottom of the floating browser extension window.
