Feature name

  • Compress uploaded images

Feature function

  • Images uploaded from the #android camera are large in file size. (e.g. backup codes or notes)
  • Uploading large files will eat through the space quota.
  • Compressing the images will speed up and reduce the amount of data used to download and view the image.

Since BW is a vault where I store valuable information I wouldn’t want it to touch any of my files (and possible corrupt them) including images.

If your images are JPEGs then there is nothing to gain by compression. If you are using an uncompressed format then maybe consider only uploading compressed format images.
