Chrome / Edge extension request privacy permissions

I tried to install the extension silently for a self-hosted server.

Everything works fine except for this message about extension permissions.

I disabled autofill with a GPO.

I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong?

When I click “Yes” to authorize permission, I can see the change on the extension.

And I can check the box to make Bitwarden the default password manager but it doesn’t stay active.

If install the extension manually from the extension store and I allow the permission, I get more permissions.

There is an issue with the GPO installation!

It seems that not many (any?) community members have experience with this topic. Thus, your best recourse may be contact support, or to file a bug report (“New Issue”) on Github.

My issue has been closed on GitHub.

I contacted support but I don’t have a paid license and I think my issue will be closed again.

I would like to express my gratitude to the support team.

Even with a silent installation, manual privacy permissions are required for Edge or Chrome.

There is just one red dot left on the Settings button.

… I think that red dot is part of the new “onboarding” notifications – a hint to the user to set up some things… I’m not sure if that red dot has something to do with privacy permissions…

I’m not sure if the red dot is related to permissions.
And it’s there even with a manual installation.
