I am self hosting bitwarden with docker-compose(with postgres db). I was running latest version from unified repository earlier and then started observing this issue where I couldn’t login from my Android/windows app and I got prompted an error(attached). I can easily login everytime through browser and it’s plugin on both windows. On Android, I can login with browser but browser plugin (Firefox) login doesn’t work there. Then I noticed some threads mentioned where latest repository is switched to ghcr. I recently updated it to the latest version 2025.9.0. my Android, Windows apps are also updated to the latest version. Can you please help me with the issue.
Though you should be able to login on the browser extension on Firefox mobile, just FYI: to use the browser extensions on mobile browsers is not supported by Bitwarden. The recommended thing to do is to use the mobile app on mobile devices (phones and tablets).
To be honest I started trying different things because Android app stopped working for me. Also, I just realized I can’t login to Admin portal anymore. Getting same error on laptop as well as mobile browser
Alright. Couldn’t login because password was expired for smtp. But here is screenshot. It’s bit strange though. Server installed is still old but latest is new in both web and server.
Hi. Thank you for the support. For some reason my docker compose was not working with “:latest”. Turned to Beta and immediately updated the version. I don’t know somewhere docker was considering cached version
