Can't find the autofill setting for individual logins

Then you’re in compliance with the Terms of Service. :+1:

Not sure what you mean by this. Yes, it is true that individual Bitwarden account holders can always share credentials with each other. This is done by setting up an “Organization” (as I had mentioned in my previous comment), and inviting other individual Bitwarden account holders to become members of the Organization.

The Free personal plan and the Premium personal plan are still offered with the ability to create a Free Organization, which can include up to 2 members (i.e., the Organization owner and one other invited user).

It sounds like you have set up a Free Organization for you and your wife, and that you are storing your personal master password within a shared collection in the Organization vault. I would still recommend that you consider the suggestions I had made in my previous comment (setting up Emergency Access and creating an Emergency Sheet).

We’re not sharing credentials with each other. We’re sharing a single Bitwarden account. Bitwarden offers accounts for multiple users. We have the emergency access setup and we’re also using an organization. So we’re doing everything per Bitwarden’s policies. But they do indeed offer a single account with a single annual payment but meant to be shared among multiple users. :man_shrugging:

Sorry, but no, that’s not true. – From the Terms of Service that @grb mentioned before:

  1. Account Requirements

We have a few simple rules for accounts on Bitwarden’s Service.

[…]

  • Your login may only be used by one person — i.e., a single login may not be shared by multiple people. A paid organization account may create separate logins for as many users as its subscription allows.

  • Overall, the number of Users must not exceed the number of accounts you’ve ordered from us.

→ One Bitwarden account is only to be used by one person. You need two Bitwarden accounts for two persons… (and you may or may not be sharing credentials via collections between two or more BW accounts like @grb mentioned)

PS: Apart from that: I’m glad your issue here could be solved now! :+1:

I don’t doubt this (and even if I did, I have no skin in the game — I am just another Bitwarden customer, with no authority or inclination to enforce their corporate policies).

Just the same, I am confused by some of your statements.

In what sense is it a “single” account, if you each have your own username & master password to log in?

This has definitely not been true as long as I’ve been a Bitwarden user, and I don’t think it has ever been true. Unless “accounts for multiple users” is your way of referring to organization subscription plans (e.g., Families plan, Teams plan, Enterprise plan).

Again, unless you are referring to something like a Family plan, this is not true.

What do you (and your wife) see when you log in to the Web Vault, and go to the following two locations?

  • Settings > Subscription

  • Admin Console > Billing > Subscription

I suspect there may be a terminology issue complicating this discussion.

It appears @crevier is using “account” as a synonym for “subscription”, where as @grb and @Nail1684 are using it as a synonym for “vault”.

Bitwarden does, indeed allow each person to have their own vault and for one person to create a single subscription that pays for a total of 6 vaults.

Probably @DenBesten is right… @crevier I mean you wrote you were using an “organization”… but then you are sharing credentials…

I think you mastered expressing yourself ambiguously on a very high level.

(emphasis my edit )
