Can't delete from any location

I have created an entirely new self hosted server and I am still having this issue. I can create entries from either the web page or the extension but clicking the delete button does nothing. I am only able to delete two or more entries at a time using the web page. This issue occurs on the web page, the browser extension and the android app. The only indication there was an error is on android. It says “and error has occurred”. Very helpful.

Anyone else having this problem?

  • Installed bitwarden per bitwarden instructions
  • Bitwarden version 2025.5.3
  • Pixel 7a with up to date android 15 and bitwarden from play store 2024.6.0
  • Brave browser up to date and tried with all safeguards disabled

I was able to successfully delete a single entry using the bitwarden app for linux, arch btw. I am still unable to delete a single entry using the android app, the chrome extension or the web app.

You might consider upgrading your android client to version 2025.5.0. Your version is outdated by almost a year, which might explain interoperability issues.

I was able to get my play store to finally show the latest version but I still cannot delete items. It now shows an error that says " We were unable to process your request. Please try again later or contact us.". That combined with the 400 error response in the console for brave makes me think something else is the issue.

I use cloudflare for my domain but it has not caused an issue that I recall. Could cloudflare be the issue? I have caching disabled for all of my domains and its a basic free version of cloudlfare so I dont believe I am doing anything too fancy.

Finding some more odd behavior. In the android app I am able to add new entries but I am unable to delete or restore entries from the trash. On the web app page I am able to restore single/multiple items with no issue, just not able to delete a single item still.

Perhaps take cloudflare out of the picture by connecting on your home wifi and to the internal name for your bitwarden server.
