After installing Windows 11 I tried to install the Bitwarden application and the Chrome extension. Both gave me the “Unexpected error”. The only place that is still working is my phone because of the face recognition.
I tried other passwords to check if it was a typo but then I get “User or password incorrect” so it seems like it is not a mistake of mine.
Also, I updated the Docker containers and restarted the machine but still no luck.
Hey @ebiscaia just to confirm, you are using the correct email associated with your Bitwarden account (has this changed recently?) and typing your master password carefully? Are you seeing any captcha issues?
I have the same issue on self-hosted. I put it behind a reverse proxy (NPM) and 2FA (Authelia) which worked before. Maybe I enforced Authelia to be a proxy for authenication (2FA) for my vaultwarden container. How can I troubleshoot the problems with extensions? Which logs could I check? Thanks!
Vaultwarden is not a Bitwarden product, and there are often incompatibilities between Vaultwarden and the official Bitwarden client apps/extensions. Your best bet is turn to the Vaultwarden community for support:
