Can the authenticator app please show account usernames based on what i have saved on bitwarden instead of whatever that's in the TOTP code

the authenticator app doesn’t show usernames based on whatever the username for the account is saved in bitwarden, and it’s really annoying me, especially with social media accounts since i change my usernames every now and then. I’m beginning to forget which account is which at this point. it does not even at least show the names based on whatever i set the name of the login as; it just says the name of the website. it only shows me accounts by the name i saved them as for just two accounts, the rest are all like “twitter,” “instagram” when the login names are all stuff like “twitter (@myusername)” etc etc

unrelated but idk why the ios app also shows two empty titles with a verification code at the top of the app

@myfocusiseverywhere I am a bit confused – as I do see the usernames in the authenticator app. For the local codes and for the synced codes:

Are you talking local codes, synced codes or both?

If you don’t see the usernames in local codes: did you check whether there is a username defined (you can edit local codes by the the three-dots-menu)?

And if you copied some local codes from the authenticator app to your BW vault, and they’re now synced: I could imagine, that you may have two login items now for those services, as they don’t get merged automatically (if you had a corresponding login item in your password manager). – So, please check if there is now e.g. one login item in your vault for Twitter that has your username, password etc. stored – and another login item for Twitter, that only has the TOTP code. (if it were that way, integrating both Twitter login items into one, that then syncs with the authenticator app, should include the username then) [EDIT: I now tested this. When you copy a local code into your vault, actually you can either add / merge to an existing login item in your vault or create a new login item.]

PS: Or expressed the other way round: when your login item in your BW vault doesn’t contain a username, and when that item gets synced, then the authenticator app can’t show a username:

PPS: I now closed this feature request (with some delay for further clarification), as I consider it already implemented. (until you prove me wrong – or rather meant something different)
