Hello, I am wondering if there was a way to hide specific folders, vaults, etc from showing up as an option on my auto fill. The reason I have this issue is that my dad recently passed away so I am having to go through many of his accounts (banks, airlines, whatnot). This is going to be a process that will take me months, so I imported all of his passwords into our family bitwarden account. Due to the messy nature of his passwords as well as bringing in chrome passwords, some websites have 10+ logins so when I want to login with my own credentials it becomes very difficult on iOS.
I wanted to see if I could section off this person’s passwords so they don’t show up in my autofill. I want to have quick access to them through the chrome plugin and iOS app, but I don’t need them to autofill the way that I need my own passwords to. Thanks in advance!
@cooldude9400 Welcome to the forum! And condolences for your loss.
One straightforward (but potentially labor-intensive) way to prevent these items from showing up as autofill suggestions is to set each Website (URI) in those items to use a match detection method of “Never” (set the method using the gear icon to the right of each URL).
If you imported the items into the Organization vault for your Family plan, then you can place all of the items in a Collection, and remove your individual account from the access list for that Collection. If the items in question are not already isolated in a single Collection, then you can use the Web Vault UI to bulk assign the items to a designated Collection.
Using a dedicated Collection would be a much easier approach to hiding the items from your autofill suggestions (as compared to editing the match detection settings in individual items). When you need to work on the accounts, you can view the items from the Web Vault Admin Console, or you can temporarily assign yourself access to the Collection that has your dad’s passwords.
