If you need to login twice, you can follow the procedure above twice. However only one URL is saved in “self-hosted” menu item. This is not handy. Therefore: can I extend the menu with “second self hosted”
version client: Version 2024.11.2
version server: lastest.
What you’re trying to do requires the “Account Switcher”, which is not available in the Web Vault app (shown in your screenshot). However, if you use the Desktop app or a browser extension, then you can be logged in to multiple Bitwarden accounts, hosted on different servers, and easily switch from account to account (with only 2–3 mouse clicks).
I’m sorry, my question is not understood in detail. It is not I’m unable to use two self hosted accounts, it is the way I need to login: I need to remember retype my url.
open desktop app.
login account1
type email email1
choose self hosted and verify url1 or type url1, save.
login
on right upper corner, choose “add account”.
login account2
→ type email email2 → choose self hosted. You will notice only url1 is saved from the previous login. Your need to type url2. I’m not able to add a “self hosted url 2 line”. Save.
I have indeed two accounts I can easily switch. Hoever I need every time I restart my PC / bitwarden retype one of the URL in the self hosted server field. As only one self hosted server is saved for later use.
Is it possible to have besides the bitwarden.eu; bitwarden.com and self-hosted also a self-hosted bis to save my second url.
I would suggest that you report this as a bug (“New Issue”) on GitHub; if you are informed by Bitwarden that the behavior is expected or intentional, then open a feature request topic in the Feature Request section of this forum.
Seems like Bitwraden has already responded and clarified that this behavior is in fact expected/intentional, not a bug. Thus, your next step would be to post a Feature Request.
