Our users are having an issue where the Bitwarden extension in Edge is not saving the username needed to log into it via SSO. When they log in and check the ‘Remember email’ checkbox, the next time they log in the username is still missing. Has anyone else seen this? Maybe I am overlooking something simple that solves this.
Welcome, @jbauman to the community!
The first thing I would check is to see if maybe they have their browser or an extension that deletes cookies and/or local storage.
Good call. I checked my settings to see if the MS Edge Security Baseline in Intune had set anything like that, but all of those settings are turned off (Edge Settings → Privacy, Search, and Services → Clear Browsing Data on Close). The only two extensions on my machine (which is configured the same as everyone else’s) are Bitwarden and My Apps Secure Sign-In extension from Microsoft.
Hey, I’m experiencing the same issue. After entering my email, checking the ‘Remember this email’ box, and logging in via SSO, it still doesn’t remember the email after closing and reopening the browser. Any ideas on how to make sure it keeps the email remembered?
No solution yet but not a lot of time lately to investigate more. I was able to confirm the same behavior in Chrome, which our organization does not use typically so no extra security controls are applied there. I am wondering if this is an extension issue itself rather than a control we have in place.
