Browser add-on slow & stops working when offline (Chrome)

Clicking on the browser add-on, opens the app interface, but login entries don’t immediately become visible. There is about a 1s loading wheel visible, when everything should already be cached and ready to be displayed.
The UI is lagging when one quickly switches between tabs (Vault, generator, send, and settings).
The add-on becomes completely inaccessible when internet is unavailable. Clicking on the add-on just shows a blank page, and stays that way until connectivity is restored.

I don’t know if it is actually what’s going on, but this behavior appears to be the result of the add-on constantly waiting for responses from the bitwarden servers. It would explain why the entries only appear after a loading delay, and why the add-on stops working without an internet connection.

Regarding 3, what is the version of your extension? This should have been fixed if it’s the most updated one v2025.2.0. If it’s not, you may want to report it to github:

The timing is of course impeccable
I’m still on version 2025.1.3, so I will update the post once the new version becomes available in the store.

The new version does to an extent fix the blank page issue. However, it’s still visible for ~5s before the UI appears.

The other points don’t seem to have been affected by this update.
