In the old UI there was a “quick copy” icon to click to open up the information page for the entry. Please bring this back.
Having to click the 3 dots to open the information page is a MAJOR problem because:
- it requires more clicking than before to open the page (instead of clicking the icon or the entry’s rectangle, I now have to click the 3 dots much of the time and there is not indicator given for when I don’t have to click the 3 dots, resulting in me clicking the 3 dots when I don’t have to. It’s infuriating!
- opening the information page is not consistent across Bitwarden. For example, if I land on a page that has a login entry, then the “quick copy” icon would appear in the OLD UI. But if I do a search for the entry in the OLD UI, then I would have to click the entry rectangle to open the information page. This context was easily recognizable by the presence or absence of the “quick copy” icon for the entry’s information page. If it was present, I could click it. If it was absent, then I knew I had to click the entry’s rectangle to bring up the information page.
This doesn’t work in the new UI. Because there is no icon to open the information page, I cannot figure out whether I have to click the entry’s rectangle or not until AFTER I have clicked in the 3 dots and witnessed that there is no “view” button to click. I am constantly clicking the 3 dots and sometimes there is a view button and sometimes there isn’t. THIS IS A DISASTER UI! The more I use it, the more problems I discover and the more it makes me hate Bitwarden for fixing something that wasn’t broken and in effect breaking it.
I could go on and on about other problems I am encountering. But I am also angry with Bitwarden for creating this problem and taking my time and energy to point these failings out and plead with Bitwarden to reinstate the OLD UI. Fixing the new UI means reinstating elements of the OLD UI. So why even keep the new UI?
