Bitwarden stopped asking for master password, it memorizes it

I noticed Bitwarden firefox extension stopped asking for master password which is risky to me.

If I will not lock my computer everyone can now see my passwords because master password is filled when you click on log in button.

How can I change it and bring back typing master password every time I wanted to unlock the vault?

Cheers

@hellraiser Welcome to the forum!

If your master password get’s filled in to the extension login site, then that is probably your browser (Firefox) having “memorized” your master password and filling it in.

The recommended usage for the Bitwarden extension is disabling the browser password manager and making the Bitwarden extension the default password manager (Settings → Autofill → Make Bitwarden your default password manager).

For Firefox, you should have a look here: about:preferences#privacy (it’s in Settings → Privacy & Security) and deactivate it - and store some credentials that Firefox may have stored there, in your Bitwarden vault. And after that, and if you don’t need them there (anymore), you can delete them in Firefox.

There is also a blog article about disabling the browser password manager: Disable your browser-based password manager | Bitwarden Blog

Many thanks for your help! Looking into it.
