I have tested this with BitWarden, NordPass, DashLane, and Apple Passwords. The problem is that, regardless of the app or website (in any browser), it doesn’t display the related items in the keyboard autofill. As you can see in the screenshot below, it has been set up properly. I have even reinstalled it, rebooted, checked the FAQ on the official website, etc. No luck. I have read a few autofill-iOS-related posts, but haven’t found anything exactly the same, so I’m posting this. It works perfectly with every other manager. It does properly bring up passkeys when the browser or app asks for them, but the problem is with passwords and 2FA codes.
If I click the PASSWORDS option, it obviously brings it up in the window and also suggests the exact login credentials for the app/website I opened. So it knows which ones are relevant to the currently open website/app, but it just doesn’t bring them up in the keyboard panel.
Bitwarden 2025.10.0 (2645) Bundle: com.8bit.bitwarden Device: iPhone 16 Pro Max System: iOS 26.0.1 Commit: bitwarden/ios/release/2025.10-rc30@277efe6d95f354ded3b73f1c5ff7f16d82c9d962 Build Source: bitwarden/ios/actions/runs/18227666097/attempts/1
Hey, like I mentioned, it is supposed to show the exact credentials to autofill with one tap. If I click Passwords, it opens the Bit Window and shows all the saved items for GitHub, which is fine. However, it is supposed to show the actual credential in that panel or the pop-up instead of a button to open BIT and then find which one to fill.
I checked the website; it says that if the URI matching fails, it will show the password button, but that is not true because this happens on every website and app, even when the entire website matches. Besides, when you click the passwords, it shows the GitHub credentials, so it just doesn’t bring them to the keyboard or shows the pop-up.
If this were the case with all managers, I would not have reported, but it works fine with every other manager. See, for example, the keyboard below when using Apple Passwords. Similiarly NordPass and DashLane are able to bring both up when needed.
On the link that you shared you can also see the first screenshot shows the exact credential above the keyboard.
I do but I have tested it on both cases having a single and multiple credentials. Doesn’t work either way. And I have seen screenshots where BitWarden shows multiple options as suggestions so I don’t think that’s an issue here anyway.
Sorry, I think I can’t help here without an iPhone…
The only thing I still would think of: how exactly are your URIs stored? Like full and “correct” path like https://github.com ? Or just like github.com? – But I don’t even know if that really would make a difference for the iOS app.
