Bitwarden iOS 26 beta testing is live!

Hi everyone, we’re looking for testers to help us ensure Bitwarden works smoothly with Apple’s iOS 26 beta. This is a double beta situation — both the OS and Bitwarden app 2025.9.0 (2520) are in testing.

:clipboard: Who can participate

  • iPhone 11 or newer running iOS 26 beta (public or developer)
  • Be willing to report issues and quirks via Github issues

:rocket: Getting started

  1. Confirm you’re on iOS 26 beta
  2. Join using our TestFlight link (includes Testflight installation instructions)
  3. Download the app and start testing!

:speech_balloon: Sharing Feedback

  • Github
    • Tap the new issue button
    • Choose the 'Password Manager Beta iOS Bug Report (includes the beta tag)
    • Provide as much detail as possible
  • Forums
    • Share your feedback in this thread.

:magnifying_glass_tilted_left: What to look for in 2025.9.0 (2520)

  • Core features: login, vault unlock, autofill
  • Day-to-day usage across different apps and workflows
  • General performance and stability on iOS 26
  • Any visual or behavioral issues that feel out of place with Liquid Glass
  • Authenticator sync does not work with the beta app (expected behavior)

:warning: Important notes

  • Don’t use this on your primary device - it’s beta on beta!
  • You can run the beta app alongside the production version

@dwbit, do you mean that the application might be unstable, or that database corruption is probable? I don’t mind the former, but the latter I do.

Has CXP yet been implemented? I’m using 2025.9.0, but don’t see it:

The Release Notes claim it has been implemented:

@Nail1684, yet bitwarden.com/help/import-data lacks any mention of importing from the “Passwords” application, which, presumably, means no support for exporting the Apple ID passkey. I cannot imagine that that is an accidental oversight, or technical limitation that they haven’t bothered to document.

It does mention it - in the “mobile app” tab: Import Data | Bitwarden

@Nail1684, thanks. That process invokes the cited modal:

However, with Bitwarden, it fails:

Considering that exportation fails too, CXP support may not work:

Regardless, I have begun to believe that Apple’s passkey may be excluded:

… just out of curiosity: same result with the 2025.9.0 release (non-Beta) version?

… or “still” not there in the 2025.9.0 release?

@Nail1684, there, exportation works!

Thanks. Turns out that the Beta application is an older build.

… seems like it was a short Beta test period… and then it was already incorporated in the release.

@Nail1684, I presume that it should remain updated, though. Otherwise, you’ve a situation similar to flathub-beta’s:

If that isn’t occurring, I’ll file an issue for it.
