Bitwarden extention password incorrect

Since yesterday i no longer can use the Bitwarden extention. The notification it gives is “Password incorrect“.

Self hosted version: 2025.6.2
Extention version: 2026.1.0

Password is correct (checked multiple times and logged into the desktop app and the self hosted server website.

I tried the following things:

  • Reset password
  • Logged off and logged in
  • Clear cookes and cash

In our test enviorment was the extention version 2025.12, and there i could login without problems.
now it automatic updatet to 2026.1.0 and i can’t login anymore in the extention.

Not supported any longer.

Update it to the current version first.

PS: But it is advisable – as always – to backup your data before you proceed.
