Bitwarden Extension on Mac Chrome not intercepting Passkey requests

Since this week - the BW extension on Chrome on my Mac has stopped intercepting Passkey requests both while creating or filling.

  • The setting under notification menu is checked.
  • Multiple sites have the same problem.
  • I don’t have any sites under exclusions.
  • Whenever I go to a website and click the button to use Passkey - it opens the native Chrome prompt.

Extension is 2024.6.1, Chrome is 126.0.6478.62.

Are there any things I can try to troubleshoot this? I have tried removing and reinstalling the extension but does not seem to help. I saw the same problem on Chrome 125 as well before updating today.
