Autofill in certain android apps

I have Google pixel 7a android phone. Be owbt autofill on certain apps. I’m sure I have the app URI. Everywhere I read it says to turn on accessibility in BW autofill settings. The accessibility button stays off (greyed out) even though android settings say it’s turned on for BW. Any ideas?

Thanks! I’d love to try the side loaded version. I’ve never side loaded an app. Any tips?

This would work with Android 13. Android 14 and 15 may present more obstacles to navigate due to enhanced security measures.

  1. Haha. Check to make sure the link you get from some stranger is legitimate. Or search for your own (definitely be very careful with Google search results), it should yield a github link close to above.
  2. Download the .apk file (not f-droid)
  3. Use Google file to install the .apk. You have to grant a permission to Google files, so don’t forget to revoke the same permission after you are done.

For Android 14 & 15, google-search for string: “side-loading on android *”

The v2025.1.1 just dropped. Maybe you can wait to see if that fixes some the problems you have.

Bitwarden on Android. On my Android play store, I see v2025.1.1.

Actually I think you are referring to V2025.1.1 of bitwarden. No I do not see it in play store. Checked for BW updates and also deleted and reinstalled BW but still at V2025.1.0. will keep checking. Thanks!
