Authenticator function missing in new Edge Extension version

Hi, been using BitWarden Edge Extension for a few years but with the new updated version it seems the Authenticator function is gone. Is it ?

If so, does the new Authenticator App have to be used and will automatically be filled with the data that now seems to be missing in the Extension ?

Sorry for my limited English.

The Bitwarden Authenticator App currently only exists as a mobile app for iOS or Android, not as a browser extension. Thus, the extension you are using must by the Bitwraden Password Manager browser extension. I have moved your post into the correct section of the forum.

There could be two explanations for what you’re experiencing:

  1. You are not seeing TOTP codes because you do not have a Premium subscription, or because your Premium subscription has lapsed. To check for this, click on one of the login items in your extension to view its details, and check whetehr you see the tag “Premium” in the “Verification Code (TOTP)” field. If so, you will need to update your subscription.

  2. You are not looking in the right place. By default, you must first click the “copy” icon, then click “Copy verification code”, as shown in the screenshot below:

If you want to restore something that looks more like the old way of accessing the TOTP codes, you should go to Settings > Appearance, and enable the option “Show quick copy actions on vault”.

Thank you very much for the quick reply

The Extension is activated as Premium ; good until June 2025.

It seems there’s something with the website asking me for a TOTP code.
Since I have a PassKey for that site in BitWarden’s Edge Extension, it looks like their system isn’t asking for the right security credential.

I’ve written to them and waiting for a reply.

Thanks again, and best wishes for 2025

OK, good luck.
