Attempt to delete entry

Android Version:2025.7.1 (601)

My idea was to also store my TOTP with another authenticator. I updated the TOTP for a particular site and saved it in Bitwarden, deleted the old entry after copying my username and password to where my new TOTP was saved.

Authenticator now has two TOTP’s for that site, an old one and a new one.

I want to delete the old entry, but ‘long press’ on that entry does not respond as expected, allowing me to delete it.

Has anyone faced a similar issue and sorted it out?
Thanks.

I take that back as I was confused with an entry that looked like a double because the names were the same. However, I now realise that they relate to different logins and sites.

Now that I understand that, I am unable to change the name on one of them. I have attempted to long press but only the code gets copied and I have no option to edit the name, which should be the case..

Are you sure it’s a TOTP seed that is stored locally in the authenticator app? Because when it’s a “synced” TOTP seed, then you have to edit it in the password manager app.

The TOTP seed is synced with the password manager app and displays correctly with logo and name under ‘Verification codes’. However, in the Authenticator app the seed is identified by my email address only and I want to change this to reflect an organization name for recognition, rather than just my email address. So that’s where the long press in the Authenticator app doesn’t respond to allow me to edit the name of the item in question, which I’m trying to do.

Okay, and as written before: I think you only can change a synced entry in your password manager app, and not in the authenticator app. PS: The synced items get their “data” from the vault and can only be edited there, it seems.

Thanks for your response. I’ll try and sort it out.
