Attach file fails on native macOS and in web browser without the extension

Starting today, I can no longer attach files to records in Bitwarden. It all started when I deleted one attachment out of a record, and Bitwarden automatically deleted all the attachments out of the record.

When I attempt to attach a file in the native macOS client (Version 2025.2.1 (38769) I get an upload failed. When I do so in the web browser logged in this happens to be Firefox, but I’m not using the extension. I can add a file. The UI doesn’t register it, but later I can see the file but only in the web not in the native.

We checked and we are nowhere near the one gigabyte limit for attachments so this should work. Also, the attachment is tiny maybe 30 K at best. It’s just a Yamel file.

Has anyone else begun seeing problems with attachments? Everything worked fine until today
I’ve opened a support ticket, but this is pretty much a blocker and I’m hoping that there’s something that I’m missing.

@peterswirl Yeah, currently, there seem to be bugs around “attachments” - there are two recent GitHub issues to that:

→ regarding the second one: best thing not to delete any attachments at the moment! (or probably don’t do anything at all with attachments until this is resolved)
