Hey guys
Bitwarden is not automatically filling in android 12, pixel 6 pro.
It correctly shows the pop up but then switches to the main page of the bitwarden app instead of the relevant login info page to then autofill.
Anybody else?

It’s autofilling fine for me on the Pixel 6 Pro, though I am having an issue with TOTP codes not being copied to the clipboard.

I am experiencing exactly the same problem. For some apps, the autofill (and inline autofill) are working very well, but for other apps, like Spotify, Bitwarden fails to detect the app. When the pop up appears and I activate it, it links to the main page of the vault and I am not able to select the Spotify password.

Just an update on the issue with TOTP codes not being copied to the clipboard on the Pixel 6 Pro… I’ve noticed recently that this appears to be fixed.

The situation is tragic, auto fill works once in a while.
Pixel 6 Pro running Android 12 and Firefox.
Same thing happens on Brave.

Basically no inline auto fill suggestions are shown unless I have recently opened the BW app manually.

That’s a real bummer and decreases efficiency considerably.

I’m having the same problem, has anything been done about it?

I believe there’s a handful of moving parts involved here with this breaking.

I’m using Firefox Beta, on my Pixel 6 Pro, with gboard as my IME and biometric login enabled for bitwarden.

If I swap to using a PIN lock on bitwarden instead of biometric, it seems to work fine.

I also disabled biometrics and it works. I am still having an issue with ā€œVault Timeoutā€. If I use any other value than ā€œOn App restartā€ this is not respected and the vault is still locked at a random time. I suspect this is related to Android killing the app in the background even if I changed the ā€œbatteryā€ settings.

Biometrics are useful, so I’d rather not turn them off. I’ve found a workaround in manually going to ā€˜recents’ and closing the app. On app start-up it’s locked. But there’s a better way, as mentioned just before me.

Yes, your phone not respecting the app’s preferences will break a lot of things. There’s no easy fix here, except to try to follow the steps worked out by the developers. https://dontkillmyapp.com/

Once you’ve done this, you can again rely on timeouts for the old behavior. Or maybe not… I probably missed something!

I’ve had autofill problems on several phones, several versions of Android. I now run Android 12 on a Pixel 6 Pro and have the same autofill issues, i.e. more often than not, I won’t be presented will autofill options. After turning off biometrics in BW, I can confirm that it’s working perfectly every time. Definitely looks like some sort of bug related to biometrics.
