“An error has occurred. Cryptography error, The cipher’s MAC doesn’t match the expected value”

I’m having issues logging into the IOS-app after updating the encryption. No problems with login at Web, extensions, or desktop-app. I get the error “An error has occurred. Cryptography error, The cipher’s MAC doesn’t match the expected value”.

Any fix for this?

Can you confirm you’re logging in and not unlocking?

I logged all the way out, and then in again. Turned on flight mode to verify that the old password didn’t work off-grid as well. Found a way that worked at the end of the day, that makes me think there was a cache that didn’t want to update:

Log all the way out → Delete the application from the IOS device → Download → log back in.
