Users might switch their browser language to another because they want websites to show the language to them by default, and/or the browser have no or poor support for their language but Bitwarden’s translation might be better, so users might want to use another language for Bitwarden extension. So I think it’s a good idea to add a option for users to set languages manually, which will be defaulted to follow browser language setting.
@Ayx Hi!
Interesting… I never noticed that it isn’t possible to change the language of the browser extensions (unlike for the mobile apps). I can say, also the current/latest beta of the coming browser extension also doesn’t support changing the language so far.
I agree with this suggestion. Before the language and localization features are fully developed, forcibly promoting new features may cause existing features to become ineffective. Traditional Chinese users should have a deep understanding of this, such as issues #12933, #6821, #5220, and perhaps even more? This type of issue has been troubling us for over a year.
Having an additional option can also improve this situation. This is merely a compromise solution for backup purposes.
