Aggravated with your payment processor Bitpay

all I wanted to do was add $10 in credit. I went to a bitcoin atm and deposit $25 to cover this and fees. I was directed to Bitpay where I opened my wallet to do the transaction. I thought it was done, but a while later I saw that I “underpaid” the invoice and the only option to receive a refund was to give biometric data to some 3rd party affiliate of Bitpay I don’t want to do that. I shouldn’t have to deal with any third-party. They didn’t need the biometric data to take the money but now they need it to give it back? Scumbags. I didn’t even care about underpaying I just wanted to add credit. I could’ve added more credit if I saw that it was underpaid because of transaction fees no big deal but now this nonsense. How do I fix this? No, I’m not willing to deal with bitpay and it’s third-party verification nonsense. Does Bitwarden want my continued business or not? I love Bitwarden, but I’m also using Proton Pass.

I would suggest contacting Customer Support. My understanding is that some of the payment processing for bitcoin payments is done manually, so they may be able to fix this for you.

Thanks for the link. Will try.

Good luck — and do post an update.

Exactly. If I wanted this KYC nonsense I would open a bank account. No, thanks.

Another possible solution… go to a department or grocery store and purchase a visa gift card (perhaps with cash). Then, use that to pay your online bills, including Bitwarden.

I do that often, and I’m trying to get away from it because those cards are hit or miss. They don’t always work. For example, they don’t work for recurring bills, and they don’t work internationally. I use bitcoin to pay proton and I’ve successfully paid Bitwarden more than once using bitcoin, but not this time.
