After creating a password, you should show us the created password not return to main menu

This is my single biggest UX complaint with BitWarden. I was holding off commenting because I knew the redesign was coming. But the new design has the same problem.

Say I create a new password for a new website. I click +, I enter a name and username, I generate a password. I click "Save"¹. The newly created password instantly goes away and I am returned to “My Vault”. This is incredibly inconvenient. I now have to click “search” and search for the thing I just created; this is slow, and is a high-concentration enough (“what name did I give the site, again?”) it disrupts the flow of what I was doing. And searching to bring the new password back up is something I do literally every time, because my flow is that I start signing up for a service, I create a password, and either I am on my phone and I copy the password out of the vault into the app/page for the service; or I am on a computer which does not have desktop Bitwarden installed, and reading off the screen I type the password out of the phone app into the computer. This means 100% of the time I am interrupted in the middle of this process by trying to search for a pane I was just looking at.

BitWarden only does this on the phone UI, it only does this on my Android phone but not on my desktop BitWarden installations. It also does not do this while editing an already-existing password, if you’re looking at View Item, switch to Edit Item and save it takes you back to View Item. The behavior of creating a new item on the phone app is an anomaly. My feature request is that Add Item, when saved on a phone, should take you to the View Item page for the newly created item.

The only downside I can imagine to this change is it might be less convenient for people using the autofill flow, as those people don’t need to View Item. However if you do make this change the penalty for autofill users is low burden (a single tap on ‘back’) but if you don’t make the change the penalty for non-autofill users is high (typing a precise sequence of characters into search, tapping multiple times).

¹ Note: I must save at this point, because in the past I’ve tried to avert the kick-to-vault behavior by copying/reading my password before saving, and this has resulted in lost passwords because I then forget to hit Save and BitWarden throws my newly registered password away, locking me out of the newly created account. This is a bad consequence so I always now make sure to save immediately. Anyway, it’s hard to copy a password out of Add Item/Edit Item because the passwords don’t have color highlighting.
