It would be nice to be able to generate passwords broken down in groups of characters separated by symbols, especially for those instances where you need to read and insert the password manually or if it’s something that will need to be used by multiple people with no access to the vault (a shared Wi-Fi network for example).
Just to be clear, tDEv-TpCB-6BJ4-92Vy instead of tDEvTpCB6BJ492Vy, so that it’s much easier to read and check if the characters inserted are correct.
Not a bad proposal. For an alternative solution that I’ve found works well for WiFi passwords, consider using an S/KEY passphrase. For example, this is one of the options available in the “Alternate” passphrase generator in Aaron Toponce’s WebPassGen tool. These have 11 bits of entropy per word, and use short words separated by hyphens:
