I am switching from another Password Manager. With that manager I can right click an entry and choose “Copy URL”. Can BitWarden implement that? I find it very handy.
Thanks!
Welcome, @randydover to the community! If you click the circled icon to the far right, it will copy the URL. I tend to use the other one more often, which “launches” the URL.
@randydover Welcome to the forum!
Could you please give some more explanation about your use case for copying the URL?
I don’t have that option:Unless you’re talking about clicking the entry and going into it. I’m referring to at the “level” of what I’m showing in the screenshot
Add a “Copy URL” to the menu above, under “Launch”
@randydover The image is not viewable for me…
And again: could you elaborate on your use case for copying the URL?
Yes I assume the first responder is “opening” the item by clicking the entry in the vault.
Instead, I right-click the entry, I see:
Copy username
Copy password
Launch
Next is where I’d like to see “Copy URL”
I hope this makes sense.
Actually, no. Sorry… Yeah, well… maybe… but:
My question was more or less: why do you (frequently?) need to copy the URL in the first place?
@randydover I’ve changed the “app:” tag for your topic to “app:web-app” (was “app:browser”), since your screenshot shows the Bitwarden Web Vault, not the browser extension.
I have also changed your topic title to “Add ‘Copy Website’ function to Options menu for login items in Web Vault” (old title was : “Browser - Copy URL”) to make it more specific.
FYI, you can access the same menu (the “Options” menu) by left-clicking the kebab icon (three vertical dots) on the right of the item name.
And I agree with @Nail1684, that your feature request would be more compelling if you could describe the reason why you want to copy the website URLs so frequently that a “Copy Website” function would make a difference.
