I use a yubikey for 2FA when I log in with my full password and that works fine.
Would it be possible to use 2FA with a Pin? It would add a little extra security.
@Ron3 Welcome to the forum!
You are talking about the Bitwarden password manager?
And “TFA” is a typo for “2FA”?
Right. T for 2.
Ah, and then you mean, that you would like to be asked the FIDO2-PIN when you use the YubiKey as 2FA (when you login to Bitwarden)?
When I enter my full password I am next asked for my 2FA 6-digit code.
When I enter the PIN I next would be asked for the 2FA 6-digit code
Sorry, now, I’m totally confused and have no idea, what you mean.
I understand that as (and please correct me if I’m wrong): when you login to Bitwarden and enter your master password, you then get asked for your 6-digit TOTP code as 2FA for the Bitwarden account/vault.
What PIN? And when or where? The current Bitwarden login process doesn’t involve any PIN (none of the five 2FA methods involves anything called a “PIN”, as far as I know).
And what has all that now to do with YubiKeys?
… and do you want to be able to login (!) without the master password, but with a PIN?!?
… or do you speak of unlocking (!) where a PIN can be used… ??
I am speaking of unlocking where a PIN can be used
Okay, so your request is about an additional use of 2FA, like TOTP or “YubiKey”, when (after?) you are unlocking your vault with a (non-biometric) PIN?
