Access to hosted vault if 8bit goes out of business

What happens to my hosted data when the developer of Bitwarden goes out of business? And as a result the Azure hosted vault will stop?

Can I download a (encrypted) copy of my vault and import it into a self hosted instance for some time?

Can I take a locally synced copy of the database?

Should I periodically export the vault to a plain text file?

Just investigating my options before putting all my eggs in a new basket. I like having an exit strategy upfront.

First, I realize that I/we users can export our vaults into csv or json files and should already have our backup stored in a secure place. That is step one and obvious. Using these backups we import them into another service and life goes on. Not what I am asking here. I am wondering if there is a succession plan, and I am hoping so because this is such a great product! Nobody likes to ponder such a tragic event, but they do happen.
