Is it possible to pay directly without going through the Bitpay middleman? As discussed in other threads, they are very aggressive about asking for sensitive information (government ID copies!!), even when it’s just about a $10 transaction.
This seems to have gotten worse recently, because I didn’t face these hurdles when I made my first premium payment a few years ago.
My Bitwarden premium expired recently and when I tried to renew my subscription via Bitpay, they insisted I upload my GOVERNMENT ID to make a $20 payment!
I refused and have been an involuntary unpaid user since, because there seems to be no supported way to make anonymous payments.
Please offer a privacy friendly alternative, ideally Monero/XMR payments. But at least get rid of Bitpay. Thank you.

Logged in after a long time to second this.

Please add XMR. After Bitpay told me they couldn’t accept my $20 payment without a full government ID copy, I tried submitting the payment via various public WiFis until I found one where Bitpay didn’t ask for full KYC.
I then used an anonymous XMR-to-BTC swap service to make the payment, but the confirmations took so long that the Bitpay invoices timed out. I’ve had to write off the funds.
This is a terrible situation.
