2FAS Auth App Generating Token Errors

I’m new to the 2FAS Auth APP and BitWarden so I’m sure I’m making a basic mistake. I’ve received the green check mark in BitWarden showing that I’ve paired the 2FAS Auth, yet no matter how many times I try and enter a token I receive this error message: “two-step token is invalid, Try again.” I’ve deleted BitWarden from 2FAS and tried again. Same result. I’ve run the confirm the app is working test at the 2FAS website and it’s fine.

Any suggestions? What am I missing? There must be some steps I haven’t taken. Thank you! One other thing, I’ve enabled YubiKeys which are working fine.

Thank you

Welcome to the forum!

Make sure that your system clock is synced.

Thank you. Do you mean check if my computer, phone, and tablet clocks are showing the correct times? They are.

Your devices should be connected to a time server, and may need to be manually syncronized.

For example, in Windows 10, go to the Date & Time settings, enable “Set time automatically”, specify a time server (e.g., time.nist.gov or time.windows.com), and click the Sync Now button. There should be a similar process for other operating systems.

Thank you again! I appreciate your assistance.

It turns out the problem is different than what I thought.

This morning on my desktop 2FAS worked well.

On my iPad I am not getting an option to choose another 2FA method. (I’m not sure if my screen shot will post). The only option I am getting is to use the NFC on my enabled YubiKeys.(Toggling off the NFC option in settings does nothing).

The command in the iPad to choose another method is simply not appearing.

What happens if you click the “Cancel” button in the upper left corner of that screenshot?

Thanks again for your assistance.

Good question, but unfortunately, clicking cancel reverts to the start page to “log in with master password.”

I observe the same problem with Android as with iPad.

I just tried uninstalling and then reinstalling my two keys, same result. (and the NFC box is unchecked)

What browser are you using when this problem occurs?

This is what it looks like on a Chrome browser on a Windows 10 laptop:

Is there anything relevant in the kebab menu?

Wow; that’s it. The kebab menu gave me the option to use another login method.

The problem was occurring on my mobile apps, the desktop and laptop worked with a visible “use another two-step login”

I can’t thank you enough for your patience and expertise!
