I’m a paid user. I know it’s cheap (but it was a raise), but I was using 1pass from a company - all works like a magic. All prefiled, even no click as I’m logged in.
Bitwarden: "hold my beer!: On many website I have to manually paste password, OTP. Even on Cloudflare!
Why it’s so bad? How it’s managed? is somebody doing with that something? It’s 2026 and AI era, can just it be solved somehow?

If you want to use “autofill on page load” then you have to enable that in Bitwarden: https://bitwarden.com/help/auto-fill-browser/#on-page-load
It seems like there were some regressions lately regarding autofill – see e.g. also here and here (and in the linked GitHub issues). This might be a bug – but it might also be a side-effect of security fixes around autofill. (one of my speculations)
If you have autofill issues with specific sites, you can (and should) always report them via those Google forms that are linked here: Welcome Guide
PS: Another general thing not to forget: also sites/services can and do change their log in forms.

I’m an experienced user, but for sure auto-fill is on.
However, it doesn’t work smoothly. 1Pass is much superior.
The only thing right now I’m not migrating to 1pass is it’s over my budget (I know, earn more) but overall a pass manager job should be that good experience. It’s its default job.
And I mean, Cloudflare is broken? Who monitors that, that’s the team doing? Thanks it works well with Google sign in.
I mean in my experience it should be top priority, each time 1pass has a 50% discount for the 1st year - I’m almost ready to switch.
Are there any Bitwarden product managers here? Folks, why is it? I love opensource and would like to support it, but that’s so annoying…

As far as I understand it, one way Bitwarden monitors autofill is making use of user’s autofill issue reports that come in via the Google forms mentioned before. (the more reports to a site come in, the more likely they’ll prioritize a fix, I guess)

I agree with the OP. I haven’t said anything about this, I just put up with it. But it is aggravating. Here’s some approx numbers on functionality: (W11, Chrome, BW extension)
30% - can click in page boxes (eg, user name), and the BW autofill appears right there
40% - clicking in forms does nothing, but BW ext shows match, clicking on it allows autofill
30% - will NOT autofill. I have to C&P from extension to page, a huge PITA
I don’t report them, it’s far too many sites. But there is clearly something wrong. Anecdotally, I’ve been using BW for a long time, and these numbers used to be 80/10/10.
