Version 2026.1.0 in the Mac App Store

When will version 2026.1.0 or 2026.1.1 be released to the Mac App Store?

Right now the Mac App Store shows only version 2025.12.0, released “1 mo ago”.

I want to update so I can have a fix for annoying no-folder issue (see github bitwarden/clients issue #15654) which is resolved in 2026.1.0

But I can’t install GitHub releases of the Desktop app, because Safari integration is limited to the Mac App Store distribution. See Browser integration only in the Mac App Store version?

Why is there a lag in releases to the app store, is it the usual Apple approval processes?

If so, can you document this somewhere so it is understandable by users?

I was thinking about the same thing. Also the Safari extension is outdated (because of outdated main app)?

Hi all, it takes time for each app store to approve a release and for it to roll out for everyone (doesn’t happen all at once), so thanks for your patience!
