Paced Email is an email forwarder service (much like AnonAddy, Firefox Relay et al) which also provides privacy, security and productivity benefits. I propose the addition of email alias generation to the recently announced “anonymous username generator”
I aim to add some new settings functionality to the Paced Email platform itself so users can define which account/domain, etc., they want to use by default when generating new usernames. This will be completed in the coming days.
Hey @dwbit ! Great question! Once I have released the new API and OAuth additions, I’ll write up some docs for general usage. I’m planning on opening up a Bitwarden specific API endpoint. In fact, it’s all done, but I just need to tie off a few bits and bobs before releasing it.
Here’s what the finished API page is going to look like:
I’m also deliberating whether to add configuration to the Paced Email dashboard UI or have an extra field or two in the Bitwarden extension UI (like AnonAddy). I’m leaning towards keeping Bitwarden clean and adding the settings/defaults on my side…
Paced Email was launched about 3 years ago and has progressed from being primarily a productivity tool to one that is now trusted by its significant user base for email security, anonymity and privacy too.
It has also spawned a more Firefox Relay-type product called Vend Email too. Vend is built from the ground up with the ability for users to easily transfer or even sell their secure email forwarders. This project is newer but is beginning to gather steam.
Hey @rikkipitt just following up that the team was reviewing and couldn’t locate an open source repo, so the pull request got closed for now, let us know if you have any other information.
