I second this motion.
To clarify, this was not possible in the old UI — it is a new feature being developed.
@DenBesten thanks for your reply clarifying this. Sorry from my previous comment but was something I didn’t see any previous poll - so in case I didn’t check sorry and apologies again
Why is oxiris’ comment flaged ???
Everything said there is true and no foul words were used.
Take some responsibility.
@Solomn As far as I can see it, it could have been for several reasons, as @oxiris’s post violated several aspects of the Community Guidelines as it seems - to name a few:
Please know that @Nail1684 is not a Bitwarden employee. He is just a customer, just like you and I. All he was trying to do is explain what he saw as possible causes. He does not know why (only the original flagger does), nor can he impart final judgement (on the moderators can).
I notice that the user account itself does not even show up anymore. My guess… the account had other posts that clearly violated the TOS and this one mostly got caught up in a larger action.
And once again, I am not an employee (nor is @Nail1684). All I am doing is speculating.
or maybe he/she just deleted the forum account
I’m new user (mac ecosystem), registered 2h ago so just discovering bitwarden and can’t really judge if current version is worth than previous.
But my reference is RoboForm which I tried for a week or so, before giving a try to bitwarden (which sounded better on paper b/c it’s often ranked well and it’s open source) but damned, soooo painful to transition from RoboForm where everything I tested so far, works perfectly and seamlessly.
The UX on bitwarden is just bad. for example it took me like 1h to find the solution to enable the biometric and even though it now seems to work OK, it drives me crazy to have to do a click each time I want to use biometric.
I just registered here to post this. then going to bed; Tomorrow I will just get ride of it and go back to RoboForm and maybe go for a paid license.. Guys just give a try to RoboForm, and you will understand what UX means.
At this point, all these messages feel like a waste of electrons being agitated for nothing.
when pressing ⌘⇧Y to enable the browser extension on bitwarden (on Chrome), why isn’t it automatically in the search field like it was before, is this removed??? Why, I don’t want to waste time, I want to search automatically.
This is a bug in release 2025.3.2, not a feature of the redesigned UI.
Our biggest issue with the new UI is the loading speed of the pop-up browser window in Chrome. When clicking on the extension’s icon, it takes more than a full second for the pop-up window to appear. This is really hurting adoption with our less technical employees: they click, nothing appears to happen, so the click again, which closes the pop-up window that hasn’t even been rendered yet! New UI doesn’t even matter because they never get to see it!
@Panic1077 I might be mistaken but this could be related:
So, if it’s not approximately like this…
… I tend to agree to @FaviFake. (though, hardware also may play into it)
I hope this is an exaggeration…
Sightly different behavior for us. We don’t see the grey window while the pop-up is loading. That would actually be an improvement for us as it would at least provide the user feedback that something is at happening in responses to their click.
So, if it’s not approximately like this…
Ours is definitely not that snappy. It was prior to the UX update, but now literally takes more than a full second to load. Just stop watched it at 1.8 secs on my system.
hardware also may play into it
This is happening consistently across our fleet of M3 Pro / M4 Pro MacBook Pros (macOS 15.3/15.4, Chrome 135.0.7049.96, Bitwarden 2025.3.2). There definitely should be enough performance power present, but it could still be performance bug affecting our specific configuration.
I hope this is an exaggeration…
An exaggeration if only slightly, I’ve watched during a meeting as an employee tried to use the extension but clicked multiple times when the pop-up didn’t appear as quickly as expected with just the right delay between clicks to cancel out the pop-up from appearing at all. They then gave up went to the desktop app instead.
