Updated Bitwarden process name and icon

When you open the Chrome’s Task Manager, you will see the Bitwarden process displayed as:

Server Worker: chrome-extension://nngceckbapebfimnlniiiahkandclblb/background.js

I know nngceckbapebfimnlniiiahkandcbllb is Bitwarden, but showing it without a name or any icon like it does now makes it look like a “suspicious” process.

So let’s update the name and icon for Bitwarden’s progress.

That is the “extensionID”. It is a permanently unique identifer assigned by Chrome for any given extension. I believe it to be a hash of the public key used to sign the extension.

Yeah, but what I mean is: If you open Chrome’s Task Manager, you’ll see Bitwarden displayed as: Server Worker: chrome-extension://nngceckbapebfimnlniiiahkandclblb/background.js

With such a “display name” and the lack of any Bitwarden icon, it looks like a “suspicious” extension.

So what I mean is to rename it to “Bitwarden” (or something similar) and add an icon, similar to how other extensions (like IDM Integration Module above) display.

I second this idea. I’m here just because I thought that the notification that nngceckbapebfimnlniiiahkandclblb was updated looked suspicious. I inserted it into a search engine and got to this page. If Bitwarden is going to bridge from us suspicious nerds to a larger populace, it is going to have to use more user-friendly distinctions.

But it’s been a long time since they updated anything.
