Lately I’m getting regular popups (alerts?) at the upper right corner of Bitwarden. The problem is the background is pastel, the text is white, and I can’t read what the text says because of the lack of contrast. These could be serious error messages but they’re impossible to read. Is this a bug? Is there something I can do to make them readable?
If you are using the Nord theme, changing it to a dark theme may fix it:
(Although the v2025.3.0 is supposed to have removed this theme…)
@RedFox Welcome to the forum!
On what OS do you get this error? (I hope, you didn’t try to install the desktop app on your iOS phone )
Hi, thanks! OS 15.3.2 on a MacBook Pro M1 using the Bitwarden desktop app. I’ve been using Bitwarden for quite a while, these ghostly popups just started recently. Today I tried using the browser extension (on Safari) instead to see if the same thing occurred there… I got a popup and it was visible on the extension. I keep a lot of info in the notes section and the app is just a better interface for me most of the time, but these ghostly popups may drive me to focus more on the browser extension…
Yes!! I started using the Nord Theme a little while ago, that would explain why this problem recently started… I’ll change it to the dark theme now. Thanks!
OS 15.3.2 on a MacBook Pro M1 using the Bitwarden desktop app. But Neuron5569 just solved the problem. He suggested switching the theme from ‘Nord’ to ‘Dark’ and it worked!!
Update: Thanks Neuron5569 - you solved the problem! I switched from the Nord Theme to the Dark Theme and no more ghostly banners!
Glad, that @Neuron5569 solved it for you!
… I changed the tag from “iOS” to “MacOS” then.
PS: Using notes a lot is a good reason for using the desktop app. - If you login to sites with copy & paste mostly, you might want to make yourself familiar with autofill using the browser extension more often…
