Unable to Click Intermittently on Fedora 42

Hi,

As the title said, I am using Fedora 42, and sometimes Bitwarden desktop stops responding to mouse clicks.

I can still navigate using keyboard (TAB) and type normally, but mouse clicks on any button or menu do not work.

Steps to reproduce (intermittent):

  1. Launch Bitwarden Desktop on Fedora 42.

  2. After some time or certain actions (not sure what triggers it), mouse clicks stop working.

  3. Keyboard navigation still works.

What I’ve tried:

  • Killing the Bitwarden process and waiting about a minute before relaunching — issue persists.

  • The only reliable fix is to log out of the session or reboot the system.

Environment:

  • OS: Fedora 42 (Wayland session)

  • App version: 2025.10

  • Installation source: [Flatpak / RPM / AppImage] ← (specify this if possible)

Additional notes:
This issue has occurred multiple times and seems related to how the app interacts with the desktop environment or Wayland input events.

@gnulab Did you try to deinstall and reinstall the desktop app? If you do, make sure that the local storage was deleted before you reinstall - and of course make sure, that you can login again.

Apart from that, it sounds like a possible bug and you probably should report it on GitHub then (“New issue”).
