TOTP autofill on iOS - did something change?

iOS bw app user here. Totp code were autofilling or at mining copying after I did login autofill.

I am now noticing this doesn’t work anymore and I am attempting to determine if it’s just me or something with a recent app update.

One key note, my vault timeout is set to never and Totp copy isn’t working anymore. If I set the time out to some value, with faceid Auth, it works every time.

Can anyone else confirm?

(PS: Unfortunately I can’t say anything to your issue, as I don’t use an iPhone.

Question for the tags: are you self-hosting?)

Yes self hosting. I do have a cloud instance will have to check that.

I changed the tag now to “self-hosting” - for the case you indeed experience the issue with your “self-hosting” instance. (otherwise we can change the tag back to “default-cloud”)

(it’s not the most important thing in the world, but ideally, the tags should help to get the context of the issue right, and maybe help for possible solutions…)

@Gerardv514 I still don’t have an iPhone… :sweat_smile: But it might help in general, if you added details about the iOS version, BW mobile app version, Safari version (or the browser you use)… you are experiencing this issue now.

Good point and you made me think to try the other browser on the phone.

Interesting result!

So it’s at least also the possibility, that Chrome changed something… or iOS… – is there any (new?) setting in Chrome or iOS that might control this behaviour?

Scratch that same result in safari.

What I was seeing was a Totp code being pasted in safari but in fact that was not the code from the login auto fill, that was a Totp code that was used somewhere previously and was still in clip board
