Synchronize contacts and calendar information across devices

ORIGIN: Replace the "send" feature with functionality for synchronizing contacts and calendar information between devices

I’m not sure if I chose the correct OS tags, because it seems that only macOS, iOS, and Android have APIs for reading and writing system calendar and contact information. I’m not sure whether Linux and Windows have them.

Calendars are not a good place to store credentials and Bitwarden is not a calendar manager. This FR seems like it would be better addressed to whomever provides your calendar software.

What I meant is that calendars and contacts themselves are sensitive information — where do “credentials” come into this?

What I said was synchronization, not management — where does “manager” come into this?

You’re right — I can’t really argue with that, because I simply thought of Bitwarden as a secure place to store such sensitive information, and it has cross-device clients. On the other hand, the companies that provide synchronization for this kind of data aren’t exactly trustworthy.

@fxzxmic I think you made clear now, that you want a sync, but not a calendar function (that would get synced then) itself, correct?

There are some other existing feature requests around the topic of contacts/calendar sync, so just for the overview for now (and that probably should get “analyzed further” some time):
