User Story: As a Chrome / Chromium user with multiple browser Profiles that have Bitwarden installed, the default keyboard shortcut (Command+Shift+L) should work for all Profiles.
This used to be the case. But I suspect that sometime around end of August 2025, this stopped working.
The situation today is the following (imagine a Chrome browser at a home computer that a profile for work and one for personal):
- the first Profile logs into Bitwarden and the keyboard shortcut will work as expected.
- The second profile that logs into its instance of Bitwarden will not have any response from Command+Shift+L.
- The only way around this seems to be to set a custom separate keyboard shortcut for the second profile, as well as for any other profiles.
- That being said, if you were to login to the second profile first (and never set a custom keyboard shortcut), then Bitwarden will work with the default keyboard shortcut.
Bitwarden should be able to support multiple browser profiles using the exact same default keyboard shortcut.
