A key missing element that I find in BW is a Modification Time/Date stamp for vault items.

I often need to check when an item was last updated (any change from user-name, to PW change).
BW should have a field in the Item Information box that shows the Date when the Item was Created/Last Modified.

An extension of this would be to have a drop-down showing the log of dates of when any entry was changed for that Item.

My Vault view should then show the last date modified and allow for sorting by date, to be able to find Items that have been changed recently.

I would like to see the date a password was last changed, independent of when anything else was changed.

Why even have a Feature Request forum when people ask for a feature for over 7 years and 500+ votes and you still donā€™t do it? Sorting is such a basic feature. It should have been added ages ago.

Just to clarify that: Iā€™m not a Bitwarden employee. Bitwarden employees can be recognized by their Bitwarden logo in the profile symbol.

And personally, I agree - I would also like to have the ability to sortā€¦ If you look at the first post of this Feature Request, there is a staff notice which indicates they are working on it.

I just added an item to my vault, using the Bitwarden popup message, but now I canā€™t find the item in my vault! I need the ability to sort by recently modified items, so I can figure out where that item went, and update some other fields on it!

I come from LastPass Premium and would like to switch to Bitwarden Premium.

Sorry guys Iā€™m tired of years of endless messages saying ā€œwhen are we going to be able to sortā€. Iā€™m unsubscribing from this thread.

I switched to 1Password a long time ago.

Iā€™ll check back in another 7 years and see if Bitwarden can sort by then. Good luck to you all.

OP here, I still use bitwarden but now with keyguard client (android and desktop). It has the sort feature among other improvement (multi account for example). Not full open source but happy with it during the waitā€¦

Not saying that this sorting feature isnā€™t needed, but this usecase has a partial workaround. You can:

  1. Go back to the website (e.g. via Browserā€™s history) and the entry should show up as a suggestion.
  2. Search for domain name, like ā€œcommunity*ā€
  3. If you mostly put things into folders, then the new item will show up in No folder.
