On the Android app, you can only manually add URLs that exclude autofill in the settings.
Sometimes bitwarden pops up the password save window when it’s not appropriate, such as saving my payment password on the payment software. Can I add a button to the password save windows to exclude automatic filling?
You can refer to Google autofill function, they do very well, but not very safe, I really hope bitwarden can do better and better, looking forward to reply.
@foggystarx Welcome to the forum!
As you are talking about the Bitwarden password manager, I changed the tag to “Password Manager” (it was “Secrets Manager” which is something else) - and to “app:mobile”, since you are talking about the mobile app. I hope this is okay.
@foggystarx I’m not sure, if I understand completey what you describe.
I guess, you enter that password for the payment software manually then?
So, I assume, in Settings → Autofill → “Ask to add login” is checked, because in general, you do want to be asked, but not e.g. with the payment software, right?
You want no automatic saving prompt? What do you mean then by “to exclude automatic filling”?
Welcome, @foggystarx to the community!
You appear to be asking two separate questions, so I will answer them both.
You can prevent bitwarden from offering to save passwords for specific domains by adding them to the exlcuded domains list.
Settings >> Notifications>> Excluded Domains
You can prevent specific URLs from autofilling. Edit the vault entry, click the gear to the right of the UL. This reveals the “Match Detection” menu which when set to “Never” will prevent that vault entry from being offered.
This solves my problem. Thank you very much.
