Does bitwarden prompt for pin on 2fa. Ideally it should not prompt for a pin since it would be difficult to get her to move cursor inside the box.

If you’re asking about using a Yubikey for 2FA via passkey, then no, PIN entry is not required (it will be required when you first enroll the Yubikey as a 2FA option, but it will not be required when prompted for 2FA during login).

If you’re asking about logging in to Bitwarden using Bitwarden’s mobile app, then yes, 2FA will be required (same as for other apps and browser extensions).

Thanks for the clarification. I feel the mobile client could be a source of problem then. When we need to log back in, she won’t be able to plug in the yubikey even though she can plug in the charging cable. I think I will stick with the TOTP for now.

You are correct, I played with password debugger at https://www.passkeys-debugger.io/. ChromeOS did not allow me to create resident key, it only allow me to save it to password manager.
