We get the verification code email about 25 seconds after the desktop app times out its request for it, so we cannot use the desktop app.
If you set the timeout to be two or three minutes longer, that should help firms like ours that use multi-layered email defense systems where sometimes emails are delayed a couple of minutes.
Your feature request is fine, but is there a reason why your users do not have 2FA enabled for their Bitwarden accounts?
(I have assumed that the verification codes you are having problems with is the “New Device Login Protection”, a requirement that is waived if you enabled 2FA).
