PDFs opening in browser with strange UI results

### Steps To Reproduce 1. Go to a secure note with a PDF attached to it (altern…atively 2. Click on the link for the PDF 3. Open browser tab containing said PDF ### Expected Result Would expect to see the standard PDF viewer common to browsers these days, with the informational wrapper, pagination, and various buttons to print, download, etc. ### Actual Result What we get instead is a truncated, horizontal band containing the PDF, with none of the typical UI for a PDF viewer. Going the other way: Is there a way to download the attachment when you do so?

do we have any updates on this… any fix coming for this?

As far as I can tell, attachments download to the device now instead of trying to open in the browser, which would technically solve this issue (at least for my needs). Unless they’re just using that as a workaround until they do a browser-based fix.

A comment in the discussion on PR 10757 (which introduced the new behavior starting in version 2024.9.2) suggests that at least for the time being, the developers have given up on further attempts to resolve the display issue. The download functionality has been introduced as an alternative solution to the problem.
