This design mockup reduces the clicks for switching between different folders and cathegories and makes everything accessable in every tab or folder - without the need to go back to “my Vault” everytime.
@Seitzdominik Welcome to the forum!
Could you explain more, how exactly it would reduce clicks? – I guess, your idea is, that the “folders” filter and the “item types” filter stay where they are (in the “My vault” page)?
-
Where can you switch vaults (personal vault ↔ organizations)?
-
Where can you “filter” collections then?
-
Where would the favorites be?
-
Where would the “trash” be?
-
Where would the TOTP section, that the mobile app offers, be?
Hey,
thanks for the quick response.
Since I’m new to Bitwarden I’m not very familiar with the features you mentioned and therefore wasn’t aware of some of them.
However the trash, favorites and TOTP would all fit into the scroll bar as new tabs.
Since the scroll bar stays there as long as you are in the my vault page, you can easily switch trough the tabs without going back. This reduces clicks.
I hope the answer helps. I may adjust the design with the features you mentioned if I find time.
Then here an overview of how the “starting screen” / main screen looks like in the current Android app (2025.5.0).
Here in this screenshot you can see the Vault selection (if you also have organizational vaults and not your personal vault), the TOTP section and the Favorites section (after that, there comes the (Item) Types section and the Folder section):
If you scroll further down, below the folders there is also a Collections section and finally the Trash section:
