I’ve been using Bitwarden for ~9 months and I recently got a new phone. Unfortunately, I reset my old phone before transferring all of my Authenticator data, and I don’t seem to have my recovery phrase. Am I SOL or is there a way that I can login to my account another way?
@Brad_Jungers Welcome to the forum!
- Do you have any instance still logged in? If yes, stay logged in and export your vault items - as you still have the master password, you should be able to do an export (best: JSON)… if not, then export manually if necessary.
- Is it possible, that you may have a copy of the TOTP seed code somewhere? Maybe it even was backed up with a backup of your phone or the authenticator app you used has some kind of backup?
- Well, if you don’t have any way to get either the TOTP codes back or discover you have do have the 2FA-recovery code somewhere… then your Bitwarden account is unfortunately now inaccesible to you.
For that last part: if you had the chance to export your vault data (or previously made a CSV or JSON export), then you can delete your Bitwarden account in the end: https://bitwarden.com/help/delete-your-account/#delete-a-personal-account
PS: If you had a “login-with-passkey”-passkey, then you could still login with that to the web vault…
